1. Customer presentation

Hello Sophie, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Torrefactory?

My name is Sophie Fischweiler, and I'm Customer Service Manager at Torrefactory. As such, I'm also in charge of the Odoo project we've been running with Idealis Consulting.

2. The company

Today we're at Torrefactory. Can you tell us more about your company?

Torrefactory was founded in 2017 with the ambition of offering a sustainable coffee break within companies. Following the COVID-19 crisis and the temporary closure of offices, we had to reinvent ourselves. This led us to develop new distribution channels, including sales to individuals via our webshop and distribution in retail.

What products or services do you offer?

We mainly offer coffee beans, hand-roasted in our workshops in Mont-Saint-Guibert. For businesses, we provide a complete service, including coffee distribution and machine rental. For private customers, we have developed a wide range of specialty coffees for home use.

Who are your target customers?

Our customers are mainly companies looking for a high-quality, eco-responsible coffee solution, but also individual consumers who are sensitive to the origin and quality of their coffee.

3. Challenges and inspiration

You've undoubtedly encountered a number of challenges in developing your business. What were the main ones?

One of our biggest challenges was to find the right tools for our growth. As a small company at the outset, we were using many separate tools that didn't communicate with each other, resulting in a lack of visibility and efficiency.

4. Implementing Odoo

Why did you choose to implement Odoo at Torrefactory?

We needed a unified solution that would enable us to access information in real time, streamline our internal processes and facilitate strategic decision-making.

How were your processes managed before Odoo?

Previously, we were using several compartmentalized systems. Inventory management, sales and accounting were fragmented, creating silos and duplication. Each new employee had to be trained on several different tools, which made our day-to-day work more complex.

What needs did you want to solve with ERP?

Above all, we were looking for better visibility of our operations, centralized information and real-time management of our inventory, sales and profitability.

5. Projects carried out with Idealis Consulting

How did the implementation go?

The project began with workshops designed to qualify our needs and analyze our legacy systems. Idealis worked with us to standardize our use of Odoo as much as possible, and to develop only what was really necessary.

What concrete changes have been made?

We have automated a large number of internal processes, improved the management of our day-to-day operations and gained in responsiveness, particularly in customer service management.

6. Feedback on collaboration

What aspects of your collaboration with Idealis have satisfied you?

We particularly appreciated their responsiveness and their ability to support us in a project close to the Odoo standard. They were always ready to listen, both during implementation and for post-project developments.

What are Torrefactory's future plans?

We plan to upgrade to Odoo version 18 with Idealis, and to implement mandatory electronic invoicing from next year. Idealis will support us in this upgrade, as well as in standardizing the elements developed during the initial project.

In one sentence, how would you describe your experience with Idealis Group?

A local partner who listens and reacts quickly, supporting us throughout our digital transformation.
